(angus reid) - Rudy Giuliani is still the frontrunner in the race for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination in the United States, according to a poll by SRBI Public Affairs released by Time. 35 per cent of respondents would support the former New York City mayor in a 2008 primary.
Arizona senator John McCain is second with 22 per cent, followed by former House of Representatives speaker Newt Gingrich with 12 per cent, and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney with 11 per cent. Support is lower for Kansas senator Sam Brownback, former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, and former Virginia governor Jim Gilmore. Read More
