Giuliani, McCain Could Carry Ohio

(angus reid) - Many adults in the Buckeye State would support Republican Rudy Giuliani in the 2008 United States presidential election, according to a poll by the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute. 46 per cent of respondents in Ohio would vote for the former New York City mayor, while 41 per cent would back Democratic New York senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Giuliani also holds an eight-point lead over both Illinois senator Barack Obama and former U.S. vice-president Al Gore. In other match-ups, Arizona senator John McCain leads Rodham Clinton by two points, Obama by six points, and Gore by seven points.
