(bloomberg) - Former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, who is favored among Republican presidential candidates, also leads the top Democratic contenders in head-to- head matchups, a poll found.

Giuliani leads Democratic New York Senator Hillary Clinton by 49 percent to 40 percent and is favored over Illinois Senator Barack Obama 44 percent to 41 percent, the Quinnipiac University poll showed.
