Republicans 2008: Giuliani 27%, McCain 19%

(angus reid) - Public support for Rudy Giuliani’s presidential bid fell in the United States, according to a poll by the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute. 27 per cent of Republican Party supporters would vote for the former New York City mayor in a 2008 primary, down 13 points since February.

Arizona senator John McCain is second with 19 per cent, followed by actor and former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson with 14 per cent, former House of Representatives speaker Newt Gingrich with eight per cent, and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney also with eight per cent. Read More
