Democrats 2008: Hillary 39%, Obama 22%

(angus reid) - More Democratic Party supporters in the United States would like Hillary Rodham Clinton to become their presidential nominee in 2008, according to a poll by American Research Group. 39 per cent of respondents would vote for the New York senator in a 2008 primary.

Illinois senator Barack Obama is second with 22 per cent, followed by former North Carolina senator John Edwards with 19 per cent. Support is lower for Delaware senator Joe Biden, New Mexico governor Bill Richardson, Connecticut senator Chris Dodd, Ohio congressman Dennis Kucinich, and retired general Wesley Clark. Read More
