Republicans 2008: Giuliani 38%, Tie for Second

(angus reid) - Rudy Giuliani remains the most popular presidential hopeful for Republican Party supporters in the United States, according to a poll by Harris Interactive. 38 per cent of respondents would vote for the former New York City mayor in a 2008 primary.

Arizona senator John McCain and actor and former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson are tied for second with 18 per cent, followed by former House of Representatives speaker Newt Gingrich with nine per cent, and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney with eight per cent. Read More
