Democrats 2008: Hillary 35%, Obama at 23%

(angus reid) - Hillary Rodham Clinton is holding on to the top spot in the race for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination in the United States, according to a poll by Opinion Research Corporation released by CNN. 35 per cent of respondents would vote for the New York senator in a 2008 primary.

Illinois senator Barack Obama is second with 23 per cent, followed by former U.S. vice-president Al Gore with 16 per cent, and former North Carolina senator John Edwards with 13 per cent. Support is lower for New Mexico governor Bill Richardson and Delaware senator Joe Biden. Read More
