(angus reid) - Rudy Giuliani holds the upper hand in the national race for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination in the United States, according to a poll by Rasmussen Reports. 28 per cent of respondents would vote for the former New York City mayor in 2008, up two points since late July.
Actor and former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson is second with 22 per cent, followed by former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney with 13 per cent, Arizona senator John McCain with 10 per cent, and former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee with four per cent. Read More
