(angus reid) - Rudy Giuliani remains the top choice for Republican Party supporters in the United States, according to a poll by Opinion Research Corporation released by CNN. 28 per cent of respondents would vote for the former New York City mayor in a 2008 United States presidential primary.
Actor and former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson is second with 19 per cent, followed by Arizona senator John McCain with 16 per cent, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney with 11 per cent, and former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee with 10 per cent. Support is lower for Texas congressman Ron Paul, California congressman Duncan Hunter, and Colorado congressman Tom Tancredo. Read More
