Georgia Would Remain Red in 2008

(angus reid) - Republican Rudy Giuliani could carry the Peach State in the 2008 United States presidential election, according to a poll by Rasmussen Reports. At least 48 per cent of respondents in Georgia would vote for the former New York City mayor in head-to-head contests against two prospective Democratic rivals.

Giuliani holds a four-point lead over New York senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, and a 14-point advantage over Illinois senator Barack Obama. In separate contests, actor and former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson leads Rodham Clinton by three points, and Obama by nine points. Read More
