Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton holds the upper hand in the 2008 United States presidential election, according to a poll by Gallup released by USA Today. At least 49 per cent of respondents would vote for the New York senator in head-to-head contests against four prospective Republican rivals.
Rodham Clinton holds a five-point edge over former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, a six-point lead over Arizona senator John McCain, a 13-point advantage over actor and former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson, and a 16-point lead over former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney. Read More
