Iowa Caucus 2008 (D): Obama 27%, Hillary 25%

Democratic Party supporters in Iowa are divided in their assessment of the 2008 United States presidential hopefuls, according to a poll by American Research Group. 27 per cent of respondents in the Hawkeye State would vote for Illinois senator Barack Obama in January’s caucus, while 25 per cent would back New York senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Former North Carolina senator John Edwards is third with 23 per cent, followed by Delaware senator Joe Biden with eight per cent, New Mexico governor Bill Richardson with four per cent, Connecticut senator Chris Dodd with three per cent, and Ohio congressman Dennis Kucinich with two per cent.
