Huckabee has rocketed into contention on the strength of his support from the state's white evangelicals, who comprise 38 percent of its Republicans. He leads Romney among evangelicals by nearly two-to-one — the same margin by which Romney leads him with everyone else. Huckabee is also ahead of his rivals with voters under age 50 and mid- and lower-income people. Romney leads among women, older and higher-income voters.
