Democrats 2008: Hillary at 39%, Obama 24%

(Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Fewer Democratic Party supporters in the United States think Hillary Rodham Clinton should become their presidential nominee in 2008, according to a poll by Gallup released by USA Today. 39 per cent of respondents back the New York senator, down nine points in a month.

Illinois senator Barack Obama is second with 24 per cent, followed by former North Carolina senator John Edwards with 15 per cent. Support is lower for Ohio congressman Dennis Kucinich, New Mexico governor Bill Richardson, Delaware senator Joe Biden, and Connecticut senator Chris Dodd. Read More
