(usatoday) - Hillary Clinton is leading Barack Obama by just 6 percentage points nationally in a new three-day Gallup tracking poll of the Democratic nomination race, 42%-36%.

"Obama's position has been strengthening on a day-by-day basis. As recently as Jan. 18-20, Clinton led Obama by 20 points," Gallup editor in chief Frank Newport reported.
