New York Primary: McCain and Hillary Prevail

(angus reid) - Voting intention surveys conducted in the Empire State place John McCain as the clear leader in today’s United States presidential primary.

In the seven polls of Republican Party voters, the Arizona senator is in first place with the support of at least 49 per cent of respondents. Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney stands below the 31 per cent mark, while support is lower for former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee and Texas congressman Ron Paul.
