Wednesday, 26 March 2008
(Rasmussen) - Democrat Barack Obama holds a slight advantage in Nevada, according to a poll by Rasmussen Reports. 45 per cent of respondents in the Silver State would vote for the Illinois senator in the 2008 United States presidential election, while 41 per cent would back Republican Arizona senator John McCain.

In a separate contest, Democratic New York senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is virtually tied with McCain.

In 2004, Republican George W. Bush carried Nevada’s five electoral votes, with 50 per cent of all cast ballots. The Silver State has picked the eventual winner in every presidential contest since 1980.
