Texas U.S. Senate: Hutchison 58%, Radnofsky 32%

(angus reid) - Kay Bailey Hutchison could earn a new six-year term as one of the Lone Star State’s representatives to the United States Senate, according to the latest poll by Rasmussen Reports. 58 per cent of respondents in Texas would support the Republican incumbent, while 32 per cent would vote for Democratic challenger Barbara Ann Radnofsky.


Hutchison was first elected to the U.S. Senate in a June 1993 special election, and earned six-year terms in 1994 and 2000. In the last election, she defeated Democrat Gene Kelly with 65 per cent of all cast ballots. Hutchison was mentioned as a possible gubernatorial candidate, but decided to seek a third term in the U.S. Senate instead. Read More
