Rhode Island Gov.: Carcieri 47%, Fogarty 45% |

(rasmussen) - There is no clear favourite in Rhode Island’s gubernatorial race, according to the latest poll by Rasmussen Reports. 47 per cent of respondents in the Ocean State would vote for Republican incumbent Don Carcieri, while 45 per cent would support Democrat challenger Charles Fogarty.
Carcieri—a Republican—was elected in November 2002, defeating Democrat challenger Myrth York with 55 per cent of the vote. Carcieri took over in January 2003 from fellow GOP member Lincoln Almond. Read MorePowered by AkoComment 2.0!
