Ohio Governor: Strickland 55%, Blackwell 34%

(angus reid) - United States congressman Ted Strickland is leading in the Buckeye State’s gubernatorial race, according to the latest poll by the Quinnnipiac University Polling Institute. 55 per cent of respondents in Ohio would back the Democrat, while 34 per cent would vote for Republican state secretary Ken Blackwell.


A mid-September survey by the University of Cincinnati gave Strickland a 12-point edge over Blackwell. Libertarian candidate Bill Peirce and Bob Fitrakis of the Green Party are also contending. Read More
