"In 2006 I started making a series of semi-regular contributions to The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. I'm a huge fan of the show so it's a ridiculous pleasure to be a part of it. I've done a couple of other things but the role I was really hired for was as their Statistical Analyst. The segment was soon titled Poll Smoking with Dave Gorman, you can see videos of them here.

The Daily Show quite rightly has a passionate fan base both here and in the US. One viewer was so taken by the first Poll Smoking segment that a day later he registered the domain PollSmoking.com I haven't looked at all of it and I'm scared that a 3 minute segment on a comedy show can inspire someone to do so much... but, y'know... it's there now."
