Illinois Governor: Blagojevich 43%, Topinka 29%

(angus reid) - Democrat Rod Blagojevich could earn a new term in Illinois, according to the latest poll by released by the Chicago Tribune. 43 per cent of respondents in the Prairie State would support the incumbent governor, while 29 per cent would vote for Republican Judy Baar Topinka.

A late September survey by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research Inc. gave Blagojevich a 20-point lead over Topinka. Green Party candidate Rich Whitney is also contending. Read More
