Ohio Governor: Strickland 54%, Blackwell 34%

(angus reid) - United States congressman Ted Strickland is leading in the Buckeye State’s gubernatorial race, according to the latest poll by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research Inc. 54 per cent of respondents in Ohio would back the Democrat, while 34 per cent would vote for Republican state secretary Ken Blackwell.

A mid-October survey by CBS News and the New York Times gave Strickland a 25-point edge over Blackwell. Libertarian candidate Bill Peirce and Bob Fitrakis of the Green Party are also contending. Read More
