Support for Rodham Clinton in 2008 at 30% in U.S. |

(angus reid) - Adults in the United States are split over the prospective presidential candidacy of Democratic New York senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, according to a poll by Rasmussen Reports. 39 per cent of respondents say they would definitely not support the former first lady in 2008, while 30 per cent would vote for her.
Rodham Clinton—a former first lady—has served in the U.S. Senate since 2001. On Nov. 7, she earned a new six-year term in the upper house, defeating former Yonkers mayor John Spencer with 67 per cent of all cast ballots. 57 per cent of respondents believe it is very or somewhat likely that Rodham Clinton will be the Democratic nominee in 2008.
