Gingrich Would Lose in 2008 U.S. Election |

(angus reid) - Former House of Representatives speaker Newt Gingrich would be defeated by four Democratic presidential hopefuls in the 2008 United States presidential election, according to a poll by Rasmussen Reports. 52 per cent of respondents would vote for former U.S. vice-president Al Gore, while 36 per cent would support the Republican politician from Georgia.
In a contest pitting Gingrich against New York senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, the Democrat holds a nine-point advantage. The Republican trails Illinois senator Barack Obama by 10 points, and Massachusetts senator John Kerry by nine points. Read More
