Florida Gives Jeb Bush Positive Grades

(angus reid) - Florida governor Jeb Bush will leave office with good numbers, according to a poll by SurveyUSA released by WFLA. 53 per cent of respondents in the Sunshine State give Bush a grade of A or B for his overall performance.

Jeb Bush—a Republican—was first elected governor in November 1998. In 2002, he defeated Democrat Bill McBride with 56 per cent of the vote. Bush was ineligible to seek a third consecutive term in office. On Nov. 7, Republican candidate Charlie Crist defeated Democratic contender Jim Davis with 52.2 per cent of the vote.
